The Discovery With A Purpose initiative focusses on creating awareness towards endangered wildlife in India
Jaguar Land Rover India has today announced an initiative in collaboration with Conde Nast Traveller India called the ‘Discovery With A Purpose’. It aims at spreading awareness regarding the endangered wildlife scenario in our nation. Just as the people, our country has a vast diversity of wildlife across several thousand species. With their existence under profound danger, they need to be preserved and protected.
JLR’s Discovery With A Purpose initiative has its main focus on bringing such species to light and create information and conversations around areas where the collective help and support may be needed. Speaking of which, Rohit Suri, President and Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd said that alongside Conde Nast Traveller the story of the journey will be told in pictures and videos with leading experts from this field. The initiative will be led by the soon-launching all-new Discovery SUV.
The movement will also engage wildlife lovers and enthusiasts in India. They can be a part of the exclusive journey by participating in a social media contest – ‘Share Your Discovery’. All they need to do is share their unique travel experiences and share photos or videos of their ‘discoveries’. India’s leading wildlife photographers and writers also announced to have joined this initiative.
The journey of Land Rover and Conde Nast Traveller India will begin in the new Discovery SUV which is set for launch on 28th October. Details and conversations will be available on social platforms with the actual drive scheduled in early 2018. Currently, the Land Rover range starts at Rs. 42 lakh for the Discovery Sport and it goes up to Rs. 1.66 crore for the Range Rover (ex-showroom, India).
Land Rover vehicles are sold across the country through 25 authorised outlets. The all-new fifth generation Discovery will make its official public debut on October 28. Prices start at Rs. 68.67 lakh (ex-showroom) and is made available in 3.0-litre petrol or turbocharged diesel engine developing 255 bhp and 335 bhp respectively.
