Set to debut in 2025, the launch of the Kia Tasman will be rolled out globally in a phased manner in markets like Korea, Australia, Africa, and the Middle East

Kia’s latest pickup truck, the Kia Tasman, has been unveiled with an Australia-inspired camouflage wrap. This distinctive design pays homage to the rugged landscapes and adventurous spirit of Tasmania, the island at the southern tip of Australia, which also inspired the name of the C-segment pickup truck – the brand’s first entry into such a segment.

The camouflage wrap features elements that reflect the Tasmanian environment, emphasising the vehicle’s connection to the island’s unique terrain and pioneering ethos. The Kia Tasman’s distinctive camouflage wrap, designed in collaboration with renowned artist Richard Boyd-Dunlop from Australia and New Zealand, reflects the theme of “The Path Never Taken.”

This concept underscores the Tasman’s adventurous and pioneering spirit. Karim Habib, Executive Vice President and Head of Kia Global Design said, “Our Tasman pickup truck embodies Kia’s commitment to design and innovation, as well as its spirit of adventure. Artist Richard Boyd-Dunlop crafted an exclusive camouflage design, with the support of the Kia design team, that depicts a journey and reflects an essence of adventure that is unique to the Tasman,”

The wrap combines the fiery hues of the outback with commanding blues that pay homage to Australia’s influential surf culture. Set to debut in 2025, the launch of the Kia Tasman will be rolled out globally in a phased manner, focusing on key markets such as Korea, Australia, Africa, and the Middle East initially.

The Kia Tasman will compete directly with the Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger and Isuzu D-Max upon its debut in the international markets including select Asian countries. Just like its competitors, it will also get an electric avatar in the near future. The IC-engined variant could feature a 2.2L diesel or a larger 3.0L turbo diesel mill.
