Kia Motors opened the bookings for their first car in India on 16th July through 160 dealerships and online mode
Kia Motors officially announced to start accepting the bookings of the upcoming Seltos SUV on 16th July, 2019. Kia has now released the bookings data revealing 6,046 Seltos units were booked within a day of announcing the commencement of pre-bookings. The bookings can be done through 160 dealerships and online bookings can be done through Kia’s website. Out of total 6,046 units booked, 1,628 were through the online site.
The Kia Seltos mid-SUV’s bookings were opened at an amount of Rs 25,000. The world’s 8th largest automaker recently revealed the Seltos at a global premiere in Delhi and will make the Seltos available in two trims – GT Line and Tech Line across 13 colour options, 8 monotone paint scheme and 5 dual-tone paint scheme. There will be 3 engine options and 4 gearbox options to choose from.
Kia recently revealed the interior pictures of the Seltos that comes packed with many segment-first features such as UVO connected technology with 37 smart features, 8.0-inch Head-up display, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated & power-adjustable seats, Bose 8-speaker system, and ambient mood lighting.
Mechanically, the Seltos SUV will come with a choice of three BS-VI compliant engines – a 1.5-litre 115 hp diesel engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed torque converter; a 1.5-litre petrol engine with 115 hp output offered with a 6-speed manual and CVT options and a first-in-segment 140hp, 1.4-litre turbo-petrol with direct injection GT Line engine mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
Kia Seltos was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo as the SP2 concept is manufactured at the company’s Andhra Pradesh based facility and will compete against the likes of Hyundai Creta, upcoming Maruti Suzuki Vitara, Tata Harrier and MG Hector among others. Kia Seltos is expected to get a price range of Rs 11-17 lakh (ex-showroom).
