Kia India recorded a domestic tally of 32,017 last month as its sales were up 41 per cent from 22,700 units sold during the same period in 2025. The monthly tally also rose 10 per cent from 29,042 units in August 2026. The Korean manufacturer held fifth position among the manufacturers and its market share climbed from 6.0 per cent a year ago to 7.0 per cent due to its popular offerings.
The Kia Seltos supplied the largest share of the company’s monthly volume at 12,593 units. The midsize SUV had recorded 5,816 units in September 2025 and thus its sales more than doubled at 117 per cent on a YoY basis. Its August 2026 sales stood at 11,716 units – putting the month-on-month increase at 7 per cent. The difference of 6,777 units over last September also made the new-gen Seltos which arrived earlier this year the biggest contributor to Kia’s annual increase.
The Syros, available in both ICE and electric guises, posted the highest YoY increase among Kia models that had comparable YoY numbers. Sales reached 1,848 units against 465 units in September 2025 ensuring an increase of 297 per cent. Its August tally stood at 1,742 units which placed monthly growth at 6 per cent as the recently launched electric version appears to have been well received.
