Kia Inaugurates Its First Dealership In India Ahead Of SP2i SUV Launch

Kia Motors India inaugurates its flagship dealership in Noida

Kia dealerships design will be based on the Red Cube Concept and the first product from the company will be the production version of the SP2 concept

Kia Motors opens its first dealership in India in Noida, Uttar Pradesh and it was inaugurated by Mr Kookhyum Shim, MD and CEO of Kia Motors India. The Korean manufacturer has partnered with Allied Motors who have 75 years old legacy of being associated with the automotive sector and it is one of the 35 initial dealerships which the company plan to open in near future.

Recently Kia conducted design tour in Kochi and Kozhikode, out of the initial 35 dealerships three of them will be in Kerala as the company has partnered Alyson group. 12,000 sq. ft facility of Allied Motors in Noida is equipped with dedicated consulting areas, state of the art lounge and café for customers.

The dealership also has an exclusive area for new car delivery and the design is based on Kia’s ‘Red Cube’ concept, which has been developed to promote trustworthiness and to differentiate the dealerships from the grey and repetitive city landscape. The state of the art dealership has 6000 sq.ft of sales and display area also.

The company also want to give a good after-sales experience for the customers. The dealership currently showcases Niro and other models. The first product from the company will be the production version of SP2 concept showcased at 2018 Auto Expo and the launch is likely to happen in the second half of this year.

Kia has already commenced trial production at its upcoming plant in Andhra Pradesh last month. The upcoming product is expected to be based on the next generation Hyundai Creta platform. But the exterior design theme will be similar to the SP2 concept as the front get new grille with split headlamps and LED tail lamps.

The interior will take some inspirations from other Kia models and it will be packed with lots of features like touch screen infotainment system, climate control, cruise control to name few. The SP2i is likely to be powered by new 1.5 L petrol and diesel engines with the option of manual and automatic transmission options.
