Kia Clavis takes plenty of design inspiration from the Soul, retailed in the international markets and is based on the latest Opposites United philosophy

Kia India has caught testing the Clavis compact SUV again in India and it will be positioned below the Seltos and above the Sonet in the brand’s lineup upon debut before the end of this year or in early 2025. The electric version of the Clavis is also expected to launch in sometime next year in India. The latest set of spy images give away plenty of new information about the five-seater.

The Kia Clavis takes plenty of design inspiration from the Soul, retailed in the international markets and is based on the latest Opposites United philosophy followed by the brand in India as well as abroad. Compared to the Sonet, it will be more practical as it will have a more spacious interior and boot volume while the exterior will boast authentic design elements such as upright finishes and tall pillars to avail an airy cabin.

The spy shots show the presence of a radar module indicating that ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) will be available in the top-spec variants. Additionally, features such as a 360-degree camera system, TPMS, front parking sensors, six airbags as standard, disc brakes at the rear will be offered. It will also get a panoramic sunroof – second compact SUV to do so.

The interior will be packed with features as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, an all-digital instrument console, layered dashboard, diamond cut 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped in MRF tyres, eight-speaker Bose audio, leather seat upholstery, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats and so on.

It will also get drive and traction modes along with powered driver and front passenger seats, LED headlamps, and prominent LED DRLs arranged vertically. We do expect the powertrain lineup to be similar to the Kia Sonet while a hybrid version will also arrive in the future.
