The Jeep Compass Convertible rendering looks exactly similar to the regular model except for the lack of roof and shorter dimensions

The SUV trend has given confidence to manufacturers to experiment and the result is compact, coupe and convertible models. BMW made the coupe SUV theme popular with X6 and later Mercedes Benz also picked it up. But Land Rover was the only manufacturer, which has tried hands-on convertible SUV with Evoque.

The company has recently confirmed that second-generation Evoque will also get a convertible version, so there is enough demand to keep the model. Jeep Compass is the most popular model of the American manufacturer in India and if they decided to follow the roots of the Evoque convertible then the production model might look like this.

The Compass Convertible rendering looks exactly similar to the regular model except for the lack of roof and shorter dimensions. The design really goes well with the convertible theme and we can hope that it will reach production sometime in the future or maybe it will remain as a dream only.

Jeep is currently working on expanding Compass lineup in India and the SUV will soon get a 9-speed automatic gearbox for diesel model along with off-road focused Trailhawk model, which comes with changes like new dual tone exterior colour, skid plate, trailhawk badge on front and rear. The company has also redesigned front and rear bumper to improve approach and departure angle.

The Compass Trailhawk gets 20 mm increase in ground clearance along with some changes for the suspension also. Jeep will also introduce a new Active Drive low-range 4WD system and it comes with various driving modes like Rock, Sand etc. The interior continues the same design theme as the current model.

The company has improved features list as Trailhawk model comes with all black finish for the interior, all weather floor mats, hill descent control, panoramic sunroof, dual zone climate control and more. The power comes from same 2.0 L engine producing 170 hp and 350 Nm. We can expect Jeep to price Compass Trailhawk around Rs. 25 lakh (ex-Showroom).
