Jaguar Land Rover Reduce Prices Significantly Thanks to GST

Jaguar Land Rover have slashed pricing of its entire portfolio in India from Rs. 3.25 lakh to as much as Rs. 6 lakh

British luxury car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover has reduced the pricing of its cars to pass on the GST benefits to the customers. Thanks to the new tax structure, the luxury cars and big SUVs are being taxed at 43% that includes 15% cess over and above the 28% GST rate. Due to this, the luxury cars have become cheaper compared to their pre-GST pricing.

Under the revised pricing due to GST, the Jaguar Land Rover has reduced pricing across its entire range by around Rs. 3.25 lakh and Rs. 6 lakh. Land Rover’s entire range is now priced between Rs. 40.04 lakh and Rs. 3.44 crore (ex-showroom) depending on different trims of the cars. On the other hand, Jaguar’s complete range of luxury cars comprising 5 different models comes priced between Rs. 34.64 lakh and Rs. 2.49 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi), depending on different trim options.

Speaking about the Land Rover Discover Sport, the most affordable SUV from the brand in India is current priced between Rs. 40.04 lakh and Rs. 48.48 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the band’s most luxurious and flagship model in the country is priced between Rs. 1.58 crore and Rs. 3.44 crore (ex-showroom).

On the other hand, Jaguar’s most affordable model in India, the Jaguar XE luxury sedan is priced between Rs. 34.64 lakh and Rs. 43.21 lakh. The Jaguar F-Type comes priced between Rs. 2.08 crore and Rs. 2.49 crore (ex-showroom). Apart from the reduced pricing, Jaguar Land Rover is also offering 5 years maintenance service plan package at 50% discount to lure the customers.

As it appears, dream of owning a luxury car from the British marquee is much easier now compared to the pre-GST period. Currently, Land Rove is preparing to launch its latest product Range Rover Velar in the domestic market. It is expected to arrive here sometime during festive season this year and it will be the fourth model from the range Rover family in the country.
