Isuzu Vehicross Ironman Edition is powered by a 215 hp generating 3.5-litre V6 engine; priced only at Rs. 8.66 lakh
If you were a hardcore of-roading enthusiast, but didn’t have budget to afford a high-tech and premium SUV, you could have always thought about Isuzu Vehicross Ironman Edition. Was available in 1999 in Uthe S market and built only in a limited number of 1,000 units, Vehicross Ironman Edition had a price tag of $13,500 (that converts to Rs. 8.66 lakh approx).
While the Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4² is a dream machine for an off-roading enthusiast, Isuzu Vehicross Ironman Edition can deliver a similar performance without burning the customer’s pocket like the German SUV. The Isuzu SUV looks funky, but under the shell it comes with a very powerful character that can take the occupants literally everywhere.

Despite being a SUV, the Isuzu Vehicross Ironman Edition can perform pretty good on tarmac as well. So far, the standard Isuzu Vehicross was a pretty good and well performing SUV and the Ironman Edition was even better than the regular model. This SUV takes power from a 3.5-litre V6 engine that is good to churn out 215 hp of peak power and 312 Nm of peak torque.
Transmission duty in this SUV is done by a 4-speed automatic gearbox and power is sent to all the four wheels. Speaking about the Ironman Edition of Isuzu Vehicross, this limited edition model was launched as the brand was phasing out the model.

While the design of this SUV appears to be pretty dull in comparison with the modern day SUVs, mechanically the car comes pretty impressive. Compared to the regular Isuzu Vehicross, the Ironman Edition comes with upgraded shock absorbers, special body decals, Yakima roof rack, an impressive sound system. Also, it gets bespoke floor mats and a Victory White paint scheme as well.
To make the SUV capable of better off-roading, Isuzu has equipped this vehicle with 2-inch lift kit, massive off-roading tyres, manual locking front hubs and a winch as well.
