Isuzu MU-X Facelift Launched In India From Rs. 26.26 Lakh, Undercuts Toyota Fortuner By Big Margin

The change on the MU-X facelift model is limited to aesthetics and it is priced at Rs. 26.26 Lakh, gets 5 year/150,000 kms warranty

Isuzu officially launched the MU-X facelift at Rs.  26.26 Lakh (Ex-Showroom) and the SUV is available in 2 variants 4×2 and 4×4. The 4×4 variant Lakh priced at Rs. 28.22 Lakh. The updated model made its global debut last year and the changes are focused on aesthetics. The company has given a new bold front grille and integrated DRLs in the headlamp cluster.

The SUV gets a new design for the front bumper along with redesigned fog lamp housing with chrome inserts. The side continues to have the same design as the earlier model except for the new multi-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels. The MU-X facelift model also comes with LED tail lamps and an updated bumper at the rear. Overall, the exterior changes give a fresh feel for the SUV.

The interior doesn’t get any major changes but the company has given wood finish on the door pad and dashboard along with silver finish on the centre console and steering wheel. Instead of all black interior theme, Isuzu has given dual tone black and beige colour. The 7-inch touchscreen system has been replaced with a new 8-inch infotainment screen.

Even though it comes with Bluetooth pairing and phone pairing, the system misses out on Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but we can expect Isuzu to give a software update in future to enable it. The dimensions of the updated model remain unchanged and the company offer 7 seat configuration with decent boot capacity also.

The SUV comes with lots of features like climate control, leather seats, automatic headlamp, rain sensing wipers, push button start, keyless entry, multi-function steering wheel and reverse camera with parking sensors. Isuzu has also focused on safety as the MU-X get dual airbags, ABS, EBD, Traction Control System (TCS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control and more.

The MU-X facelift model retains the same 3.0 L diesel engine from the previous model but the company has made some changes to make it BSVI complaint. This engine produces 174 bhp of power and 380 Nm of torque, mated to 5 speed automatic transmission and the SUV gets 4×4 Terrain Command system with a shift-on-fly dial. Isuzu MU-X competes against Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and Honda CR-V.
