Hyundai Creta facelift is expected to launch in India in early 2018; gets several exterior and interior updates
Hyundai is preparing to launch the Creta facelift in India in early 2018 and ahead of that, the car has been launched in China at the Chengdu International Auto Show. Christened as ix25 in China, the car appears same as the India-bound model. The India-spec model is likely to be uncovered at the upcoming 2018 New Delhi Auto Expo in February next year. Expect its price to be around Rs. 50,000 premium over the current model.
Hyundai Creta facelift incorporates several exterior and interior updates and it becomes much sharper compared to the current model available in the country. Facelifted Creta was unveiled at the 2016 Sao Paulo Motor Show and it appears with a completely revised front fascia. The Creta gets sharper headlamps with projector units and integrated LED daytime running lights.
The larger and revised front grille sports plenty of chrome garnishing. Also, the front bumper appears redesigned and it gets a sleek central air intake, chunky skid plate, large air dams at both ends with horizontally positioned fog lamps. Moving to the side profile, the compact SUV boasts new design alloy sporty wheels, sharp character lines, black cladding at the lower body, turn indicator integrated ORVMs and a floating roof design thanks to the blackened A and B pillars.
The rear profile sports a roof spoiler, wraparound taillights, a shiny horizontal chrome bar on top of the registration enclosure and a chunky black bumper with skid plate. Interior of the car becomes more upmarket compared to the current model thanks to implementation of improved quality materials. In terms of space it remains same as there are no dimensional changes applied to the facelifted Creta.
