Days after being spotted on the Indian roads, the Aprilia RS440 has been spied overseas and it looks almost production ready. Expected to be launched in the domestic market by early 2024, this is the brand’s entry-level supersport model. For reference, both the bike, the one spotted in India and abroad looks nearly identical except for a few minor colour variations.

India-Bound Aprilia RS440 Spied: What the Spy Images Say?
Going by the latest set of spy images, the RS440’s test mule looks quite neat, suggesting its production-ready nature. In terms of design, the two-wheeler sports a sleek dual LED headlight inspired by the RS660, paired with a small transparent visor, thus lending the typical sporty stance. Even the side profile including the panels, visible chassis as well as tapered rear end reminds us of its elder sibling. The RS440 was spotted testing alongside the Moto Guzzi Stelvio which has no chance of coming to the Indian market.
Getting into further details, the Aprilia RS440 sports an underbelly exhaust system in the interest of a cleaner design. Talking about its hardware, the bike gets USD forks up front and mono-shock at the rear. Disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS and 17-inch wheels are also a part of the package. The India-spec model was also seen fitted with a saree guard.
India-Bound Aprilia RS440 Spied: Powertrain
The Aprilia RS440’s talking point will be its powertrain, which will likely comprise a 440cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine with an estimated power output of 48 bhp. Paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a quick shifter, the bike’s top speed will be around 180 kmph.

The testing of the Aprilia RS440 is in full flow and if everything falls in place, the bike will debut around April 2024. Expected to be priced around Rs. 4 lakh ballpark, the RS440 will square off with the likes of the upcoming Yamaha YZF R3, KTM RC390 and Kawasaki Ninja 400.
