Hyundai launched the all-new Venue in the India market a few days back. The all-new Venue will take on the likes of Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. Tata Nexon has climbed the popularity chart in the segment and is one of the top-selling models in the segment. How the Venue stacks up against the Tata Nexon? Well, here is a comparison between the two that shows how these two cars match on the paper.
The Tata Nexon remains the most affordable car in the segment but only by a whisker after the launch of the Hyundai Venue. The base model of the Tata Nexon petrol is priced at Rs 6.48 lakh, which is only Rs 2,000 lower than the Hyundai Venue’s entry-level price of Rs 6.5 lakh.
However, it should be noted that the Nexon offers the turbo-petrol engine in the base version while the Venue offers a naturally-aspirated engine. The top-end version of the Hyundai Venue is the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol automatic version, which is priced at Rs 11.1 lakh, Tata Nexon’s top-end version is XZA diesel AMT automatic, which is priced at Rs 9.94 lakh.

The Tata Nexon follows the brand’s IMPACT design while the Hyundai Venue follows the latest design language of the brand. Length-wise, the Tata Nexon is slightly shorter than the Hyundai Venue. The Tata Nexon measures 3,994mm in length while the Hyundai Venue measures 3,995mm. Width-wise, the Nexon is much wider and measures a whopping 1,811mm against the Venue’s 1,770mm.
The Nexon is also taller by 2mm and measures 1,607mm in height against Venue’s 1,605mm. The wheelbase of both cars is almost similar. The Nexon’s wheelbase is slightly shorter at 2,498mm while the Hyundai Venue’s wheelbase measures 2,500mm.

Comparing the interior space, the Tata Nexon offers a boot space of 350 litres, which is the same as the boot space of the Hyundai Venue. Even the fuel capacity of both cars is almost similar. The Hyundai Venue offers 45-litre fuel tank while the Nexon offers 44-litre tank.
