Hyundai is going to launch the much awaited new Venue in India on May 21 and it will be the first model of the Korean manufacturer in sub-four meter compact SUV segment. The company has already revealed the model in India and the global debut took place at the New York Auto. In this article, we are comparing the Venue against Creta.
Hyundai Venue Vs Hyundai Creta Design Comparison
Hyundai Venue is based on a new platform and the design takes inspiration from the new Santa Fe as the front gets big cascading grille along with split headlamps set up in which LED DRLs are positioned on top and projector headlamps below it. The side gets black plastic cladding and the roof design is similar to Creta while the rear comes with LED tail lamps and a new bumper.
On the other hand, Hyundai Creta is based on the old design theme as the company is expected to introduce the new generation model next year. But the Creta doesn’t look outdated and is appealing to say the least. The front gets projector headlamps while LED DRLs are integrated into fog lamps and the rear gets big tail lamps. Design is subjective so we can’t pick one is better over the other but the Venue looks more modern.

Like the exterior, the same pattern follows to the interior also as Venue is based on the new design theme as the steering wheel is a new three-spoke unit along with a new instrument cluster. The touch screen infotainment system is placed on top of the dashboard and AC controls get neat design. The quality of materials used is at the same level as Creta.
The Creta continues the same design theme as i20 and other models as the steering wheel is multi-functional and the instrument cluster design is different from Venue. The infotainment system is integrated into the dashboard and the company has given dual-tone colour theme. In terms of space, the Creta is better than Venue thanks to bigger dimensions.

In terms of features, both models are head to head but the Venue gets Hyundai Blue Link connected car technology in which the car gets an e-SIM from Vodafone for various functions and it is currently only available in the Venue. This gives a big advantage to Venue over Creta.
Both models get so many similar features like touch screen infotainment system, climate control, reverse camera, electronically controlled exterior mirrors, wireless charging pad, projector headlamps, airbags, ABS with EBD and more. But the Venue misses out on Sunroof, Ventilated Seats and Electronically adjustable driver.

Hyundai offers three engine options with Venue as the 1.0 L turbocharged petrol engine produces 120 PS and 175 Nm. The 1.4 L petrol engine puts out 83 PS and 90 NM and the 1.4 L diesel engine comes with 90 PS and 223 Nm. These engines are mated to 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and 6-speed manual.
The Creta also comes with three engine options as one petrol and two diesel engine options. The 1.4 L diesel engine is the same one on Venue with 90 PS and 223 Nm while the 1.6 L diesel engine puts out 128 PS. The 1.6 L petrol engine also produces 123 PS. These engines are mated to 6-speed manual and auto transmission options.

Hyundai Venue Vs Hyundai Creta Verdict
Hyundai Creta’s monthly sales average is unbeatable at the moment but we suspect the Venue could eat into its sales volume at least slightly as it offers plenty of premium features that may trouble the mid variants of Creta. Hyundai is targetting 8,000-9,000 units of Venue’s sales every month and it will be interesting to see how it pans out!
