Hyundai received more than 20,000 bookings for Venue in just 25 days, launched last week at a cracking entry-level price of Rs. 6.50 lakh
Hyundai India officially opened bookings for the Venue on May 2nd and the company received more than 2000 bookings in just 25 days. The company launched the Venue compact SUV in India on May 21 at a cracking entry-level price of Rs. 6.50 lakh (Ex-Showroom). Even before the launch, Hyundai has got more than 15,000 bookings.
Now the company has officially announced that they have received more than 20,000 bookings for the Venue in India. One of the reasons for the huge popularity of Venue is its aggressive pricing as everyone expected the company to price the new SUV at the premium end like they did with New Santro but the compact SUV undercut all of its competitors.
Most of the cities across the country have a good waiting period for the Venue and especially for the top-spec petrol models. The Venue is based on the same platform as Grand i10 but the compact SUV is based on the new design theme as the front get big signature grille of Hyundai along with split headlamps set up in which LED DRL on top and headlamp positioned below it.
The side design of Venue took some inspirations from Creta and the company has given 17-inch machine cut alloy wheels and roof rails. The rear gets new LED tail lamps and the bumper is also new. Hyundai Venue comes with faux silver finished skid plates at the front and at the rear along with black finished plastic cladding across the body.
The interior design of Venue is also new as the steering wheel is a new three-spoke unit while the centre console has a tablet-like a touch screen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Venue is the first product from Hyundai in India to come with Bluelink technology as some features can be controlled remotely using a smartphone.
The Venue is packed with lots of features like sunroof, reverse camera with parking sensors, ventilated front seats, 6 airbags, ABS with EBD and more. Hyundai Venue is powered by three engine options – 2 petrol and 1 diesel. The transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT, which is available only with 1.0 L turbo petrol.
