Hyundai Venue Becomes First Compact SUV To Get ADAS In India

Hyundai has introduced ADAS based driver-assistive and safety technologies with the Venue and Venue N Line along with a new six-speed manual transmission

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has today announced the launch of the 2023 Venue and Venue N Line with ADAS technology and a new transmission. The second largest car producer in the country aims to democratize advanced technologies and thus introduced the Hyundai Smartsense (ADAS) tech on Venue and Venue N Line, making them India’s most affordable SUVs with ADAS.

Speaking on the announcement, Mr. Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said, “Over the last two and a half decades, Hyundai has been redefining mobility experiences for Indian customers with the introduction of advanced solutions. Today, we are proud to introduce ADAS on compact SUV VENUE, making it India’s most affordable SUV with this advanced safety technology. Both VENUE and VENUE N Line will now feature Hyundai SmartSense.”

The South Korean auto major’s domestic portfolio currently comprises five models equipped with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) – Venue, Venue N Line, Verna, Tucson and Ioniq 5. Hyundai is also offering a new six-speed manual transmission, paired with a 1.0L three-cylinder petrol engine with this new update.

The ADAS equipped Venue and Venue N Line come with features like Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist – Car (FCA-Car), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist – Pedestrian (FCA-Ped), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist – Cycle (FCA-Cyl), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Driver Attention Warning (DAW).

They are accompanied by Lane Following Assist (LFA), High Beam Assist (HBA) and Leading Vehicle Departure Alert (LVDA). The new six-speed MT has been made available in S(O) and SX(O) trims on the Venue and N6 and N8 variants on the Venue N Line. The Hyundai Venue S (O) MT 1.0L petrol is priced at Rs. 10.32 lakh and it goes up to Rs. 13.33 lakh for the 1.5L diesel SX(O) MT Dual Tone trim (ex-showroom).

The 1.0L Hyundai Venue N Line N6 MT costs Rs. 11,99,900 and its dual-tone variant is costlier by Rs. 15,000. The N8 MT variant of the Hyundai Venue N Line is priced at Rs. 12,95,900 while the two-tone variant carries a sticker tag of Rs. 13,10,900 (ex-showroom).
