Hyundai Creta has been around for a long time and it rules the segment with highest sales but a new 7-seater model will be launched in late 2020

Hyundai is working on an all-new Creta that will offer as many as 7 seats. Hyundai launched the facelifted Creta in the Indian market in 2018 and is averaging around 10,000 units sales per month, which is way higher than any other close competitor.

Hyundai is also working on an all-new sub-4-meter SUV that will be its first in the Indian market. Codenamed as QXi, it will be based on the Carlino concept that the brand showcased at the Auto Expo. the production version of the car is likely to be called the Styx. There will be another new micro SUV placed under the QXi segment in the Indian market.

Hyundai Creta, which is currently a 5-seater will be upgraded to become a 7-seater and the customers looking to buy a 5-seater SUV would be re-directed towards the QXi, which is also scheduled to be launched later this year. However, Hyundai may keep a 5-seater version of the Creta alive in the market as it is extremely popular.

The 7-seater Creta would become the most-affordable 7-seater on offer by the South Korean brand in the Indian market. Currently, there is no model from Hyundai’s line-up that offers 7-seats. However, Hyundai is planning to launch the Santa Fe later this year and it is a 7-seater SUV.

Hyundai will also increase the number of features in the all-new Creta to justify the slight price hike that will put it in the same segment as the Jeep Compass. However, the extra row of seats will be an advantage for the all-new Creta as Indian customers with big families prefer a higher number of seats in a vehicle.

Not much is known about the all-new Creta at the moment but it will get the new-age family design of the Hyundai that can be seen on the all-new Hyundai Kona too. It will get the new-age signature cascade grille with a few changes to the overall design to keep it fresh in the market.

On the inside, the Creta will continue to offer unique features like wireless charger and is expected to offer new features like ventilated leather seats. Hyundai would launch the all-new Creta by the end of 2020.
