Hyundai i30N First Edition was launched in limited number of 100 units exclusively in Germany
Hyundai has seen immense success with the i30N First Edition as all the 100 units of the hot hatch have been sold in Germany, where the brand launched this car exclusively. The car started selling on a first come first served basis in the country and this much hyped performance oriented model took merely 48 hours to be sold out.
The Hyundai i30N has been one of the most anticipated cars from the brand and now with such an immense positive result with the First Edition, the brand is hoping the momentum to continue. Interestingly, Germany played an important role for the development of this vehicle as the i30N was thoroughly tested at the Nurburgring and it has been designed at the Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center GmbH in Russelsheim.

The i30N is the first car from the South Korean auto manufacturer’s N performance division. It is available in two different power output options that are 250 hp and 275 hp, while torque output stands at 353 Nm. Powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, this hot hatch will lock horns with rivals like Volkswagen Golf GTI and Ford Focus ST. Initially it is available with a 6-speed manual gearbox, but an automatic unit is expected to be introduced later alongside an AWD system.
The Hyundai i30N hot hatch’s top variant is capable of reaching 0-100 kmph in just 6.1 seconds with a top speed of 250 kmph. The first 100 customers of the car had to make a deposit of € 1,000 (Rs. 75,515) via PayPal. They received a fan package from the automaker and a dinner invitation at the Nurburgring as well. Also they are entitled to get professional track training at Nurburgring in October.

After the i30N, Hyundai’s N performance division is working on the Veloster N and after that the third model is going to be the i20N. This performance version of the popular premium hatchback is expected to go on sale next year.
