Hyundai i10 and i20 GO! special editions launched in the UK to celebrate the forthcoming UEFA Euro 2016 championship
After showcasing the two new variants of the i10 and i20 at the recently concluded Geneva Motor Show for international markets, Hyundai has launched the new i10 and i20 GO! in the United Kingdom. These special editions are based on the i10 1.0 SE and i20 1.2 SE sold there.
The Hyundai i10 and i20 GO! are priced on-road from £9,545 and £11,545 respectively. Being special edition models, there will only be just 2,000 examples made available. Of which 1,250 units are i10s and 750 units are i20s. These models have come to celebrate the UEFA Euro 2016 championship about to be held in France.
The South Korean is one of the biggest auto manufacturers to have made its presence felt at the top-notch football tournaments for a long time and has supplied official vehicles to endorse the championship by being automotive partner to the particular global events.
The special edition models will have three different tricolore-inspired colour options such as Passion Red (pearlescent), Polar White (solid) and Aqua Sparkling (metallic). .The i10 GO! features GO! badging and LED Daytime Running Lights, fog lamps up front, side body mouldings and privacy glass offered exclusively on the i10 Go! Red Passion.
The Hyundai i10 1.0 GO! comes equipped with black themed interiors, contrast blue and white stitching, leather-wrapped multi-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls for audio, phone, Bluetooth and voice recognition.
On the other hand, the premium i20 GO! will boast body-coloured paint job around the AC vents and gear knob to accentuate the grey and black colour theme. On the outside, the i20 GO! has been fitted with projector headlamps for better visibility, GO! badging, side body mouldings and privacy glass.
Hyundai is a prime supporter of football championships across the globe and especially in Europe where the sport is revered. In India, many auto makers have been involved in endorsing cricket as it’s the country’s number one sport. With IPL just around the corner, we can expect some special edition cricket-themed versions to arrive soon.
