2019 Hyundai Creta has got a new top-spec Executive trim and new features across all its variants to compete with new models like Tata Harrier and Nissan Kicks
With many fresher rivals coming in, the Hyundai Creta has received a set of new features across its trim range. Also, the company has launched a new range-topping Executive variant, which should help the ageing SUV compete with new models like Nissan Kicks and Tata Harrier. The news of the Hyundai SUV receiving new features comes in just a day after the reduction in prices of the Renault Captur.
The revised Hyundai Creta lineup will be marketed as the 2019 model and will feature passenger seatbelt reminder and speed alert system on all trims. These will help the SUV adhere to the new safety regulations that will come into effect in the coming months. Also, in addition to the earlier variants, which included E, E+, S, SX, SX Dual Tone and SX (O) grades, the company has come up with a new SX (O) Executive trim that gets an additional feature.
Compared to the SX(O) grade, the new Executive model gets ventilated front seats, a feature that is already present on the Hyundai Verna and the Hyundai Elantra. The top-of-the-line trim will be available with the 1.6-litre petrol engine and the 1.6-litre diesel motors. Transmission options for both the variants will include a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The MY2019 Hyundai Creta has also received LED taillamps, a common aftermarket addition seen on many Cretas. This feature is now standard on SX, SX Dual Tone, SX (O) and SX (O) Executive trims. The E, E+ and S grades will be available with semi-fabric upholstery, while the other grades will get more premium seat covers.
All the variants of the 2019 Hyundai Creta will also offer the company’s Eco Coating technology, which had its world premiere in the Verna last year. This system prevents odours from developing in the AC evaporator and ensures that fresh air is dispensed at all times. The highly useful feature will be available on all the variants, but the Cluster Ionizer on the SX grade has been removed.
The 2019 Hyundai Creta should make it to the dealerships in the coming weeks. The creta prices now hiked by upto Rs. 29,366. New prices start from Rs. 9.6 Lakh to Rs. 15.63 Lakh as against Rs. 9.5 lakh to Rs. 15.63 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The added equipment, however, should help it face the heat from the Tata Harrier and the Nissan Kicks.
