Honda Xblade registered a massive sales drop of 83 per cent last month as the company sold just 1,912 units compared to 11,527 units in the same month last year
Honda sold just 1,912 units of Xblade last month compared to 11,527 units in the same month last year and registered 83 per cent sales drop. When compared to March 2019 sales have improved slightly last month. The company first showcased the Xblade at the 2018 Auto Expo and then launched the motorcycle in March 2018.
The ABS variant of Xblade was introduced in December 2018 and it was priced at a premium of Rs. 8,000 over the non-ABS version. Honda has given single-channel ABS braking system for the Xblade and the company is planning to introduce an updated version of Xblade in the festival season.
The updated model comes with minor cosmetic changes, which include new colour and graphics. But the company won’t make any mechanical changes for the Xblade. The motorcycle is powered by 162 cc single cylinder engine produces 14 bhp of power and 13.9 Nm of torque, this engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The braking duties are done by 276 mm disc at the front and 130 mm drum at the rear. The suspension components include telescopic forks at the front and mono-shock at the rear, which is tuned for comfort. The Xblade comes with 17-inch black finished alloy wheels at front and rear with MRF Zapper series tyres.
The front gets 100/80 section tyre while the rear comes with 130/70 section tyre. The design theme of Xblade is sporty as the headlamp gets LED lighting along with a small visor on top. The company has given a muscular design for the fuel tank and the seat is a single piece unit while the rear gets LED tail lamps along with a new fender.
Honda Xblade is available in 5 colour options – Pearl Spartan Red, Matte Frozen Silver, Matte Marshal Green, Matte Marvel Blue Metallic and Pearl Igneous Black. The motorcycle measures 2,013 mm length, 786 mm width, 1,115 mm height and 1,347 mm wheelbase. The kerb weight of Xblade is 140 kg.
