Honda Navi Production Doubled to Meet the Increasing Demand

Honda Navi was one of the biggest revelations of Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India at 2016 New Delhi Auto Expo. Post launch the popularity of the moto scooter have been shot up high. The Navi has been sold more than 10000 units in India since the launch, and the demand has been increasing. Now, to meet the growing demand the two wheeler maker has doubled the production.

Honda Navi is completely developed by HMSI’s Indian R & D team. The scooter is being manufactured at the company’s Tapukara plant in Rajasthan. Presently it is available in 35 cities across the country at a price tag of Rs. 39648 (ex showroom, Delhi). When launched, the two wheeler maker announced that they don’t have any sales target for the new segment creating Navi.

Honda Navi is powered by a 110 cc HET engine mated to a V-matic transmission. The engine churns out 7.83 hp of peak power at 7000 rpm and 8.96 Nm of peak torque at 5500 rpm. Top speed for the sporty looking Honda Navi is 81 kmph. It is available in five different colours, which are Patriot Red, Hopper Green, Shasta White, Sparky Orange and Black.

The design of the Honda Navi is truly eye catching. Inspired by the Honda Grom motorcycle the Navi looks like part motorcycle, part scooter. No wonder this moto scooter is made to be noticed in the crowd.

It features a rounded off headlamp with brushed aluminium surrounding. From side profile the Honda Navi gets a V shaped appearance. Dimensionally the Honda Navi 1805 mm in length, 748 mm in width, 1286 mm in wheelbase, 156 mm of ground clearance.

At 765 mm the high positioned seat delivers a dirt bike like vibe, which is interesting. The Navi sports an instrument cluster with analog speedometer and odometer.
