Honda Cars India has started the official bookings for the much-awaited Elevate across its dealerships and it can be reserved for an initial token of Rs. 21,000. The prices of the midsize SUV will be revealed towards the end of next month or in early September 2023 and the customer deliveries are expected to commence soon after.

The display vehicles will likely reach the sales outlets in the coming weeks. The Elevate will join the Amaze and City sedans as the third offering in the brand’s lineup and is expected to be priced competitively. The base variant could cost around Rs. 11 lakh and it might go all the way up to Rs. 18 lakh for the range-topping model (both prices, ex-showroom).

The Honda Elevate will take on Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and others. It will be heavily localised in India and will derive power from a 1.5L four-cylinder VTEC petrol engine, producing a maximum power output of 121 PS and 145 Nm of peak torque.

Early last month, Honda unveiled the Elevate and it has the highest ground clearance of 220 mm and the largest bootspace of 458 litres in its segment. Courtesy of tall pillars, it will have ample headroom. In addition, the equipment list will be packed as well.

It comprises a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a seven-inch digital instrument console, a single-pane sunroof, ADAS-based driver assistive and safety technologies, automatic climate control and so on. The Elevate measures 4,312 mm long, 1,790 mm wide and stands 1,650 mm tall with a wheelbase length of 2,650 mm.
