Honda CR-V Custom Concept comes with several sporty changes on the outside and carries an appealing dual-tone theme
Honda has big plans for the 2018 Tokyo Auto Salon and spearheading the exhibition is a new concept. On its home soil, Honda will be revealing the CR-V Custom Concept and pictures of it have also come to the fore. Although the Japanese auto major has not officially unveiled any information including the name, the single image does catch our eye as it turns out to be a sporty take of the brand’s popular crossover worldwide.
The company decided to take a white colour CR-V and infused some sporty bits on to the vehicle. It includes the blackened front grille and the application of black shade on the front air intake, alloy wheels, pillars, roof, glass area, wheel arches and side skirts. The headlamp is sleek and is surrounded by a grey strip that runs through the Honda badge at the centre.
It resides on a thick black bar compounding the dual tone exterior theme along with a thin fog lamp housing. Although no pictures of the interior are made available yet, we can safely assume that the application of black will be significant on the cabin as well as the probably the seats. Honda is keen on bringing the latest generation CR-V to India by the middle of next year and it will carry a new 1.6-litre diesel engine that may find its way into the upcoming Civic as well in 2019.
While the real concept will have to be waited for another two weeks, Honda is certainly not taking the Auto Salon lightly. It will showcase the WGN and S660 kei concept versions signifying the Modulo X range, RS Custom Concept of Jade minivan and the Civic Type-R derived RC 20 GT of the Mugen division as well.
The Honda CR-V Custom Concept will also be accompanied by NSX, Civic Type R, N-One RS, Freed Modulo X and Mugen based Civic along with Super Formula race car, Super GT-spec NSX GT, Dallara DW12 IndyCar, the gorgeous NSX GT3, TCR-compliant Civic, etc.
