Korean designer Hanbeom Lee has designed an autonomous vehicle with a hot water tub equipped cabin for city drive
If you go to a market, so will find some of the best luxury cars, from Roll-Royce to Bentley, but none could give you an experience similar to a luxury private jetliner or a luxury yacht, for they have facilities to sleep, take a bath, have champagne and what not. But if the Korean designer Hanbeom Lee is to be believed, you can have the luxury like a hot water bath in a car too.
The Korean designer has conceptualized a concept car based on a Honda city car and dubbed it Onsen. The all-electric small car has a spacious cabin that will have an onboard hot spring which you could jump into to enjoy a warm bath.
Since it has an all-electric powertrain, there’s a lot of space inside the cabin, even though it is as long as a Volkswagen Golf. In half of the cabin is a bench seat facing backwards, much like a luxury car. However, it is the other half where things get interesting.
The cylindrical cell uses gimbal technology to remain suspended within the body of the car and is watertight. With the press of a button, one can fill the tank with water and can enjoy a soothing massage sitting on the seats. Once you are done, an outlet will funnel out the water of the cabin.
Dubbed as an ‘autonomous bath-able vehicle’, this is one of the most intriguing designs we have come across for any car. With the advent of autonomous vehicles, the designers have got many unique ideas to play with.
We have seen many autonomous concepts that give us an idea of how the future of mobility will be like. But this one, we doubt, will ever see the light of the day.
