Hero will likely launch as many as five new motorcycles in the domestic market this year and here we have covered all of them
Hero MotoCorp has confirmed that it will bring in a host of new launches this financial year. In FY24, the largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the world is planning to introduce a record number of new two-wheelers. First up, the revised version of the Xpulse 200 4V will arrive soon and it has already been teased revealing some of the updates.
1. Updated 2023 Hero Xpulse 200 4V:
The Hero Xpulse 200 4V is the most affordable dual-purpose adventure touring machine money can buy and it has built a niche audience that has evolved into a cult following. The motorcycle does not have any direct rivals in India and is a spiritual successor to the Impulse.
The 2023 Xpulse will get welcoming features such as a dual-channel channel ABS system and different ride modes: Rally, Road and Off-Road. A new LED headlamp and LED Daytime Running Light will also be available and hopefully offer better visibility. But, mechanically everything will remain the same. A taller windscreen and new switchgear will also be part of the package upon launch soon.
2. Updated 2023 Hero Xtreme 160R:
Hero is also working on a heavily updated Xtreme 160R and is expected to get features like upside-down front forks, new paint schemes and an updated instrument console. It could be launched in a month or two. It may as well get a dual-channel ABS system to firmly compete against Bajaj Pulsar N160. No performance upgrades are in the pipeline.
3. Hero Passion Plus:
In the entry-level space, Hero will relaunch the Passion Plus as the motorcycle will make a comeback with refreshed looks and colour schemes. It will be powered by the same 97.2 cc, air-cooled engine producing a maximum power output of 7.91 bhp and 8.05 Nm of peak torque, paired with a four-speed transmission.
4. Hero Xtreme 200S 4V:
Following the Xtreme 200T, Hero will expand the reach of the 199.6 cc single-cylinder oil-cooled 4V engine by debuting it in the Xtreme 200S soon and it has already been showcased to dealers. The same powertrain can also be found in the Xpulse and it will kick out 18.83 bhp and 17.3 Nm.
5. Hero Karizma XMR 210:
The Karizma nameplate will finally make a comeback before the end of this calendar year or in early 2024. The company has filed for the Karizma XMR 210 name and it will be for a faired supersport that could be pitched against KTM RC 200, Yamaha R15 V3, Suzuki SF 250 and Bajaj Pulsar RS 200. Its design will be heavily influenced by the old Karizma while maintaining modernity. It will use an all-new 210 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine.
