Hero launched the much awaited Xpulse 200, Xpulse 200T, Xtreme 200S motorcycles along with 2 new scooters early this month
You must be all well aware of the fact that Hero has launched a total of 5 new products this month. The leading Indian two-wheeler manufacturer introduced a total of three new motorcycles including the much-awaited Xpulse 200, touring spec Xpulse 200T and the fully faired Xtreme 200S on 1st May 2019.
Besides these three new motorcycles Hero also introduced the Pleasure plus and their flagship scooter offering, the Maestro Edge 125, on 13th May. The bookings for these motorcycles and scooters have already commenced earlier but Hero will begin the deliveries of these products from the month of June onward.
The prices of the Hero Xpulse 200, Xpulse 200T and the Xtreme 200S starts from Rs 97,000, Rs 94,000 and Rs 98,500 respectively. The Xpulse 200 fuel injected variant is priced at Rs 1.05 Lakhs (ex-showroom). Hero Pleasure plus prices start from Rs 47,300 (ex-showroom) for the base variant the top variant is priced at Rs 49,300 (ex-showroom).
The flagship Hero scooter, Maestro Edge 125 priced from Rs 58,500 (ex-showroom) for the drum variant and Rs 60,000 (ex-showroom) for the Carburetted and disc variant. The top spec FI variant retails at Rs. 62,700 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Xpulse 200 is an offroad oriented adventure motorcycle that features a long suspension travel, dual-purpose tyres, and bigger 21-inch front wheels and 18-inch rear wheels. The Xpulse 200T on the other hand, gets smaller 17-inch alloy wheels shod with road biased tyres and shares its suspension setup with the Xtreme 200S.
The Xtreme 200S is actually a fully faired variant of the Xtreme 200R. All these three motorcycles are powered by the same 200cc engine that produces about 18.4PS at 8000 rpm and 17.1 Nm at 6500 rpm. The engines are paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
The Hero Pleasure plus received some significant cosmetic update and a new and powerful 110 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that is tuned to produce 8 bhp of peak power and 8.7 Nm of peak torque.
The Maestro Edge 125 on the other hand, is India’s first fuel injected scooter which borrows its 125 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine from Destini 125. This unit makes about 8.5 bhp and 10.2 Nm of peak torque and is paired to a CVT gearbox.
