Hero Duet And Maestro Edge will come with 111cc engine which is made in conjunction with AVL
It’s been a long time coming after being spied multiple times by us on testing grounds and at dealerships, the Duet is finally here to challenge the likes of the Honda Activa. The Duet and Maestro Edge is the first attempt by Hero MotoCorp when it comes to design and engineering from ground up and should have nothing common from the previous Honda platform.
Hero Duet And Maestro Edge are extremely promising scooter on paper as they are set to come with new engines and fresh new styling which seems to be the talk of town. Hero is set to aggressive in scooter market as the position clearly belongs to Honda’s Activa, a scooter despite many flaws continues to blow sales chart everyday. Hero Duet is coming with an engine made from AVL. The same company ironically is making scooter engines for Mahindra Two-Wheelers as well. Engines will be different in tune and nature will provide really good fuel efficiency.
Hero Duet And Maestro Edge will be launched together and that is what it seems to look like as the release says new ‘Heroes’ are on its way. Hero entering this segment after all long time shows they are adamant on eating the cake, which is really big as the scooter market continues to growth with high demand from youngsters and senior citizens.
Hero Duet And Maestro Edge pricing should start from around Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 45,000 mark respectively as both are 110cc scooters. 125cc scooter is also expected from Hero but not any time soon. However, expect unveiling of that to happen at the 2016 Auto Expo. Expect Hero Duet And Maestro Edge to have class leading features and automatically come with Hero’s cheap and cheerful sales and service network
