Hero Vida electric dirt bike prototype will make its debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024 in New Delhi today

Hero MotoCorp has had a lasting presence in the adventure motorcycling scene. The Impulse arrived ahead of its time and was followed by the Xpulse, which is currently the most affordable adv money can buy, and one of the popular motorcycles for the brand for its no-frills nature and the ability to tackle even the toughest of off-roading conditions.

The Xpulse range will be expanded with the arrival of a flagship model, powered by a 420 cc liquid-cooled engine in the coming years while the second generation Xpulse utilising the same 210 cc liquid-cooled mill from Karizma XMR is also under development. Hero will look to further capitalise on the growing trend for adventure tourers and dirt motorcycles in India but this time around with its Vida sub-brand.

The largest two-wheeler maker in the country is gearing up to showcase a large collection of motorcycles and prototypes at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024, which will be kicked off today in New Delhi. The motoring show that will run over the next three days will witness the debut of an electric dirt motorcycle under the Vida EV brand.

Here we have shown you a couple of images of the Vida e-dirt bike and it is a proper hardcore prototype. It runs on spoked wheels at the front and rear with the former being larger than the latter and they are wrapped in off-road ready tyres. The minimalistic body panels are accompanied by a battery pack housed within the main frame.

Other highlights are a compact rear end with a pretty narrow finish, Vida branding on the sides, a flat seat, a wide handlebar bar, a competition-spec front end and a floating front fender. As for the braking, front and rear disc brakes can be clearly seen and the suspension duties are handled by beefy front forks and monoshock rear.

It stands tall with high ground clearance, a prominent bash plate and knurled footpegs. It is worth noting that Vida introduced two innovative electric dirt bike concepts, the Lynx and Aero, at the EICMA 2023 event in Italy.
