Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has got cheaper by several thousands following the roll-out of new GST laws from July 1
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is the present UV segment leader in Indian market with huge popularity. The compact SUV has earned positive response within very short span after its launch last year in the country. Now, with the Goods and Services Tax (GST) rolled out from 1st July, more good news, as it has got cheaper considerably.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza was priced between Rs 7.26 lakh and Rs 9.66 (ex-showroom, New Delhi) before the GST regime kicked in. Under the new tax structure of GST, the compact SUV has got cheaper indeed as it is said to be priced from Rs 7.22 lakh to Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) right now.
The subcompact SUV derives power from the tried and tested 1.3-litre DDiS 200 four-cylinder diesel engine developing 90 PS at 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm of peak torque at 1,750 rpm. It transfers power to the front wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox and it features best-in-class claimed fuel economy of 24.3 kmpl. Maruti Suzuki will likely add a 1.0-litre Boosterjet petrol to the engine line-up sometime in the future.
The Vitara Brezza takes design cues from the Suzuki XA-Alpha concept and comes with a bold design language. It features vertical-slated H-shaped grille, clamshell bonnet, integrated bull-horn LED lights with DRLs, wider honeycomb air inlets, 16-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, tapered roofline, projector headlights with a secondary halogen unit, black plastic body cladding, two-piece tail lamps and silver skid plates.
The impact of GST on the current automobile prices have largely been positive but the difference in asking price can be clearly felt in the big SUV and luxury vehicle categories as the selling prices go down by lakhs.
