Goldstone Launches India’s First Electric Bus eBuzz K7 In Himachal Pradesh

Goldstone eBuzz K7 can run 200 km on a single charge; will be used for public transport in Himachal Pradesh

Goldstone has launched India’s first zero emission pure electric bus eBuzz K7 that will be used for public transport in Himachal Pradesh. The 25+1 seater bues will run between scenic Kullu–Manali–Rohtang Pass route. Before launching the bus, Goldstone has tested the eBuzz K7 at more than 13,000 feet altitude.

The Goldstone eBuzz K7 can run up to 200 km on a fully charged battery and the battery can be recharged in less than four hours using the fast charging technology. The Goldstone eBuzz K7 is powered a lithium iron phosphate battery pack that ensures longer lifespan, better power delivery and it is also comes with safer chemical and thermal stability which is much needed in the terrain.

As Goldstone claims, the bus has been designed to take on the challenge of rough roads in the region. It gets front and rear air suspension that will offer comfortable journey experience to the occupants, even in rough roads as well. The bus has been manufactured under the partnership between Goldstone and BYD Auto Industry Co. Ltd, a Chinese automaker that develops premium electric vehicles for the Denza brand.

Goldstone will supply a total of 25 electric buses to the Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation. It is also supplying six electric buses to the Brihan Mumbai Electricity Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST). The electric bus fleet in Himachal Pradesh is expected to promote the zero emission pure electric mobility in the country significantly.

The move of introducing all-electric buses to the state transport corporation in Himachal Pradesh comes as part of India’s drive towards adopting pure electric mobility in order to reduce the alarmingly high pollution level affecting the environment. The central government has already cleared that it is thriving towards introducing all-electric mobility across the country by 2030. It has also asked the automakers to develop cleaner energy sources like alternate fuel technology.
