The Endeavour facelift model to be launched in India in early 2019 and the major change is the introduction of a new 2.0 L diesel engine, Push-start button
Ford officially revealed the facelift model of Endeavour in May 2018 and the updated model is currently on sale in most of the Asian countries but the American manufacturer delayed the launch for India. Now, Ford is finally going to introduce the Endeavour facelift in early 2019 as the current model is facing stiff competition from new rivals.
The Endeavour facelift model doesn’t come with drastic changes as the front get new grille along with an updated bumper and revised fog lamp inserts. The side continues to be the same except for new 20-inch alloy wheels available on the top end variant while the rear gets subtle changes like new bumper and tweaked tail lamps.
The company might introduce some new colour options with the updated model. The interior of new Endeavour continues to be the same from the current version. The SUV will come with the latest sync system of Ford with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard along with new graphics, voice recognition and navigation.
Ford has updated the features list of Endeavour as the company has added foot-activated power tailgate, tyre-pressure monitoring system, push-button start, leather seats, second and third row AC vents, panoramic sunroof, cruise control, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, reverse camera with parking sensors, USB charging ports and more.
The Endeavour facelift model also comes with a number of new safety features like auto emergency braking with pedestrian detection, 7-airbags, ABS, EBD, terrain response system to name few. The current model is powered by 2.2 L and 3.2 L diesel engines but the company is going to replace these engines with a new unit.
The 2.0 L turbocharged diesel engine produces 180 PS and 420 Nm in the entry-level variants while the top spec model gets the same engine with 215 PS and 500 Nm. The power is sent to all four wheels via the 10-speed automatic transmission. According to Ford, this new gearbox and engine combo give better mileage and more performance.
