Ford EcoSport and Endeavour prices to increase in December 2016; the premium SUV may see upto Rs.1 lakh hike across its variants
American automaker Ford is preparing to increase the price of its two models, the EcoSport and Endeavour. In a communication to the dealers, Ford India has already notified about the price hike; which will be effective from December 2016. In the revised pricing, the EcoSport could come costlier by around Rs. 12,000 – Rs. 15,000. On the other hand, the Ford Endeavour could see a price surge of around Rs. 1 lakh – 1.25 lakh.
In the revised price list, the Ford EcoSport is likely to come priced between Rs. 7.05 lakh and Rs. 10.08 lakh, compared to its current pricing range of Rs. 6.93 lakh – Rs. 9.93 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). On the other hand, the Ford Endeavour SUV is presently priced between Rs. 23.78 lakh and Rs. 29.77 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). With the price hiked in next month, this SUV is likely to come with a revised price list ranging between Rs. 25 lakh and Rs. 31 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Ford India slashed the pricing of EcoSport in March this year, in the wake of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza’s arrival in the market. At that time, the EcoSport saw a price cut by up to Rs. 1.12 lakh across the range. But, despite the price reduction Vitara Brezza snatched the show and grabbed the top spot quickly.
The new-generation Ford Endeavour was launched in India in January this year. Since it has been arrived in the country, pricing of the muscular looking SUV has been revised couple of times. In August, the company increased its pricing by up to Rs. 1.62 lakh, while in the very next month; Endeavour’s pricing was reduced by up to Rs. 2.82 lakh to stay competitive against new-generation Toyota Fortuner.

Ford Endeavour’s biggest rival, the Toyota Fortuner comes with its price ranging between Rs. 25.92 lakh and Rs. 31.12 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Now, with the Endeavour’s price to be increased in December, it could make an impact on the sales of the American SUV.
