222018 Toyota C-HR SUV
Toyota C-HR is a performance based SUV that was displayed at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in its concept form first and is expected to be showcased at the upcoming 2018 New Delhi Auto Expo. The car features an appealing styling and it has been designed to be the best in its segment. In international market, this SUV locks horn with the Mazda CX-3 and Honda HR-V. It is positioned between the Auris Touring Sports and the RAV-4.
In terms of design, the SUV gets sleek LED headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, the front grille and the headlamps has been designed to portray a single unit-like appearance. The front bumper looks very muscular and chunky with the large air intake and circular fog lamps sit neatly at both sides of the air intake. The aggressiveness is carried to the side profiles as well. It features flared wheel arches and fenders and the bold alloy wheels give it a sporty look.
The side body cladding, turn indicator integrated ORVM, coupe-ish roofline enhance the appeal of the SUV. Rear door handles are positioned at the C pillar and the blackened roof increases its appeal further. The roof gets a shark fin antenna at rear. Apart from that, the rear profile of C-HR gets an integrated roof spoiler, boomerang shaped taillights and a black bumper as well.
Inside the cabin a multi-functional steering wheel, dual pod instrument cluster with analog dials and digital MID and a lifted touchscreen infotainment system at the top of the centre console enhance the charm of the interior. The sporty seats and upmarket quality materials are enough to deliver an attractive vibe.
Power sources for the C-HR include a 122 PS generating 1.8-litre engine combined with an electric motor and there is a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that kicks out 116 PS of peak power. The Toyota C-HR is available in both FWD and AWD configurations.
