MG Hector SUV has launched in India recently in a price range of Rs 12.18 lakh to 16.88 lakh, It comes with several connected features

The MG Hector seems to have got off to a decent start. It has been reported that the SUV has already received over 12,000 bookings and that there’s a great demand for the new model. In a recent development, we have got to know that the deliveries of the new vehicle have finally officially commenced at the authorized dealerships.

The MG Hector is on sale in a price range of Rs 12.18 lakh to Rs 16.88 lakh. Above half of the total bookings are for the petrol version, while a whopping 70% of the total orders are for the DCT-equipped petrol model.

The MG Hector rivals the likes of Mahindra XUV500, Tata Harrier and top-end trims of the Hyundai Creta. Soon, it will even lock horns with the Kia Seltos. In order to draw customers to its dealerships, the company is offering segment-best after-sales support of 5 year/unlimited km warranty and 5-year labour-free service.

The MG Hector offers various segment-best features, the highlight of which is a 10.4-inch portrait-style infotainment unit that comes with an embedded eSIM that powers various Internet-based applications and features.

Other notable features include a large-size panoramic sunroof, heated ORVMs, rain-sensing wipers, electric tailgate, 360-degree surround-view camera, 8-colour interior ambient lighting and reclining rear seats.

The safety kit on offer includes ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, a fatigue reminder system, Electronic Stability Control, traction control, and hill-hold control, six-airbag system. Engine options on offer include a 1.5-litre petrol unit that produces 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of peak torque and a 2.0-litre diesel unit that offers 170 PS and 350 Nm. Additionally, the petrol motor is available with an optional 7-speed DCT and a 48V mild-hybrid system. All other variants get a 6-speed manual transmission.
