The Datsun Redi-Go Front has been snapped in Chennai testing in traffic, the model appears to retain the concept lines and creases and does look quite promising
The Datsun Redi-Go is all set to be the new offering in small car segment from Nissan. Datsun Redi-Go will be based on the Renault Kwid’ platform and will be micro SUV. However, everything else would be different from the Kwid in terms of equipment, interiors and much more. Datsun is said to be even more cheaper than the Kwid. The Datsun Redi-Go is going to be based on the CMF-A platform. Datsun Redi-Go will be the second product from the Renault-Nissan Alliance that will compete with the Maruti Alto 800, after the Renault Kwid, which will make it sibling rivalry.
Datsun Redi-Go is to going be powered by a new petrol engine that will be above the 800cc engine that powers the Renault Kwid in the present state. The latter produces 54 PS and 72 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission and is set to get An AMT very soon.
Datsun Redi-Go could get the same too as the main agenda is to gain market in every possible way. Datsun Redi-Go will target small car customers of the urban market with the automatic transmission. We expect the Datsun Redi-Go to be unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo and launched before or after the Auto Expo 2016 but it will happen in before March 2016.
Datsun Redi-Go Front clearly looks like quite impressive when it comes to styling and we think it will ace the practicality, affordability and reliability test as well and give a tough time to its competitor. Major manufacturer are already knocked out such as Hyundai EON and Maruti Alto urban sales have come down to some extent in a segment, where these brand were strong as steel!
