Customised Ford F-Series Pickup Trucks Revealed Ahead Of SEMA Debut

Ford is ready to impress show-goers with eight modified F-Series pickup trucks by different customisation shops

Ford is gearing up to showcase a range of excitingly modified products at the upcoming SEMA. While we have already reported about its series of customised Mustangs to be displayed at the event, now the American auto giant has revealed eight differently customised F-Series pickup trucks by different customisation shops.

The Ford F-Series is the bestselling vehicle in the United States. Showcasing such a wide range of customisation option at an event like SEMA will certainly boost its appeal further and enhance the popularity as well. Now, before the auto giant showcases the stunningly modified F-Series pickup trucks, let us take a close look at these beast-like vehicles.

BDS Suspension Project SD126

The Project SD126 is a heavily modified F-Series from BDS Suspension. Based on an F-250 Super Duty XLT regular Cab, it comes with a monstrous appearance. There is a wide LED bar sitting at the bottom of the massive bumper flanked with twin LED fog lamps at both end. The LED projector lamps with C shaped large LED daytime running lights enhance its style and illumination power as well.

The tow hooks are visible at the front bottom and there is an air intake on top of the hood. Moving to the side profile, there are flared wheel arches and under them are the wide and meaty large 42-inch wheels meant for serious tasks. The two-door cab gets blackened glass area and there is a compact custom loading area at back. It comes with vertically positioned LED taillights.

The off-road focused suspension setup helps this pickup to tackle tough challenges easily. Power source for this customised Ford F-Series is a massive 6.7-litre V8 turbo diesel engine that comes with cold-air intake and a Diamond Eye exhaust system. The customisation shop has equipped this vehicle with EZ-LYNK smartphone connectivity system.

The Air Design F-150 comes more track focused than meant for serious off-roading. As the customiser says, it recalls the sport truck mania of 1990’s. It looks muscular and pretty stylish. This vehicle dons a stylish silver grey paint scheme. Up front, it features a massive black front grille flanked by large headlamps with integrated C shaped LED daytime running lights.

The radiator grille gets sleek horizontal chrome trims. The front bumper looks chunky and it comes with rectangular fog lamps, black air intake with horizontal slats. Interestingly, there is a front splitter as well. The blackened hood enhances its style further. Other design elements include a hood scoop, a tonneau cover, flared wheel arches, large Forgiato Fratello ECL wheels with red brake calipers.

The four-door cab gets blackened glass area, turn indicator integrated ORVMs, side skirts and moving to the back of the vehicle there is lowered rear skirt, chrome trim around the large wraparound taillights. The modifications include a lowering kit with Blistein shock absorbers. It also comes with Wilwood Big Brake kit and a Ford Performance car-back exhaust as well.

Modern Adventurer F-150 XLT SuperCrew

The Modern Adventurer F-150 XLT SuperCrew comes built for some serious off-roading tasks. But, this shelves the pickup truck guise and appears as a red painted fully grown SUV with aggressively muscular stance. It features a hexagonal front grille with F-Series’ signature headlamps wearing LED projector units with C shaped integrated LED daytime running lights. The quad LED fog lamps and red tow hook is also visible along with a bold bumper.

At the side profile, this car features flared fenders with black cladding, massive Fuel Stroke wheels with off-road focused tyres, metal foot board. Other features include an A.R.E. Z revo cap, N-Fab bumpers both at front and rear along with customised hood. The increased ground clearance along with a Skyjacker suspension ensures this vehicle is capable of accepting off-roading challenge easily.

Power source for this customised Ford F-150 is a 2.7-litre EcoBoost V6 engine. The engine comes equipped with Corsa air intake and cat-back exhaust system. Transmission duty is done by a 10-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to all the four wheels.

CJ Pony Parts F-150 Lariat SuperCrew

The CJ Pony Parts F-150 Lariat SuperCrew comes with a very aggressive and muscular stance. It looks like ready to take the challenge of off-roading. The pickup truck features an attractive paint scheme. It boasts the stock front grille flanked with signature F-Series headlamps with twin projector lamps and integrated LED daytime running lights. The black chunky front bumper houses a wide LED bar delivering additional illumination.

The winch is also visible there and the vehicle features LED fog lamps. Moving to the side profile, there are flared fenders with black cladding, large sporty looking alloy wheels wrapped with meaty tyres. The contrast painted ORVM cap, metal footboard are other design elements, while it also gets a wide LED bar on roof offer greater illumination in dark.

The rear gets black bumper, cladding around the taillights. This vehicle also gets 7-inch lift kit, forged beadlock wheels with BFG Mud-Terrain tyres, underbody LED lighting kit, power coated suspension. Power comes from a 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 engine with a cold-air intake and a cat-back exhaust.

RK Sport F-150 XLT SuperCab

RK Sport designed Ford F-150 looks like a racetrack focused pickup truck instead of a vehicle meant for serious off-roading. Like the F-150 modified by Air Design, this one too looks like inspired by the truck racing from 1990s. It dons sporty red and black paint scheme. Up front, the black front grille gets carbon fibre treatment, while the large headlamps come with dual projector lamps and integrated LED daytime running lights.

A sculpted looking red painted bumper with rectangular finished fog lamps and large air intake is there. It also comes with ram air hood, carbon fibre front splitter, flared wheel arches, black painted sporty alloy wheels along with red coloured brake calipers, side splitter, sharp character lines, a custom loading deck, rear spoiler, vertically positioned wraparound taillights and chunky bumper at back.

On the powertrain front, this modified pickup truck gets a 2.7-litre EcoBoost V6 engine that comes with cold-air intake, a cat-back exhaust and a Cunningham Motors tune. The carbon fibre elements enhance its sportiness as well as reduce the weight.

F-150 RTR Muscle Truck

Ford F-150 RTR Muscle Truck comes with some visual similarity with 2018 Ford RTR Mustang. It not only looks muscular, but sporty and stylish as well. The large front grille with black honeycomb mesh and a thick horizontal black bar at the centre add zing to this vehicle, while the unique shaped LED daytime running lights positioned at both side of the bumper enhance its style further.

This customised pickup truck gets large headlamps with Ford F-Series’ signature style. A chunky bumper with rectangular shaped fog lamps, thick skid plate with RTR lettering is there. The side profile is relatively clean looking. Only modifications visible are the flared wheel arches with thick black cladding and the custom RTR Tech 6 wheels with Nitto Ridge Grapper tyres.

While the exterior comes similar to the stock model, under the skin, there are several modifications. It gets new coilovers, custom rear dampers along with an extended double wishbone suspension. The heavy duty rear axle ensures better performance. Inside the cabin, it wears Katzkin leather along with a dash plaque signed by Vaughn Gittin Jr.

Tjin Edition F-150 XLT SuperCrew

The Tjon Edition Ford F-150 is another modified vehicle in our list that comes with an inspiration from truck racing from 1990’s. This model appears pretty low sitting and looks like ready hit the track, but not rugged road. Speaking about its design, a large black front grille is there with honeycomb mesh pattern. The LED projector headlamps come accompanied by twin C shaped LED daytime running lights.

There is a black front splitter and twin red coloured hooks are also visible along with rectangular shaped fog lamps. At the side profile, flared fenders, unique sporty alloy wheels with yellow brake calipers, turn indicator integrated ORVMs, blackened glass area are the other design elements visible. There is a custom loading deck at the back and the taillights receive LED treatment.

The vehicle runs on 24-inch Rotiform wheels. It gets Air Lift suspension, Baer brakes, a tonneau cover, Katzkin leather inside the cabin. The custom painted pickup truck comes equipped with a Kicker audio system inside its cabin.

The Operator F-350 By Hellwig

The last customised Ford F-Series in this list is The Operator F350 modified by Hellwig Products. It looks like ready to act as a support vehicle for any off-roading team. This vehicle has been dubbed as recon adventure rig. Up front there is a custom front grille and a radiator grille guard is visible. It also sports a modified bumper with winches and quad LED fog lamps.

Moving to the side profile, this model boasts flared fender flares and large black alloy wheels wrapped with off-road focused tyres. The underbody skid plate enhances its toughness. On the roof it features a wide LED bar and there is a custom loading deck as well. The vehicle sports LED taillights and an updated bumper.

It gets Icon Vehicle Dynamics Stage 5 suspension setup, new sway bars, Big Wig air springs, Warn winch, MagnaFlow exhaust system. The vehicle is displayed with an Arctic Cat Wildcat X mounted on the loading deck. Power source of this vehicle is not disclosed yet. Expect the details to be available at the SEMA 2017.
