This custom Royal Enfield GT 650 lost all its additional weight and gets a handmade single-sided swingarm
Rajputana Customs is one of the biggest custom motorcycle builders of India who mostly uses Royal Enfield platforms to work their magic on. They have recently introduced a custom Continental GT 650 at the 2018 RE rider mania which was held in Goa recently and christened it ‘Vigilante’ and to be quite honest the custom Continental GT 650 by Rajputana Customs looks absolutely bonkers.
Rajputana has retained the stock engine, fuel tank and half of the chassis from the original motorcycle. The vigilante gets a custom nose fairing from J&D customs which adds a vintage looks to the front of the motorcycle, It even gets blacked-out roundish headlamps concealed within the fairing. Besides that, it also gets a handmade single-sided swingarm which has been attached to the original frame of the motorcycle.
This also means that the rear subframe of the motorcycle has also been redesigned to accommodate the rear monoshock suspension setup (the stock motorcycles have twin shock absorbers). The stock 41 mm upside-down front forks have been replaced with Showa upside-down setup. The motorcycle has also been fitted with a 17-inch lightweight alloy wheel which actually replaces the stock spoke wheels.
The lightweight alloy wheels also have been wrapped around with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa radial tubeless tires. When we are talking about wheels lets also talk about the brakes as well the stock discs have been replaced with bigger twin disc at the front with radially mounted Brembo calipers and a single rear disc. The motorcycle also has been fitted with a lower set clip-on handlebars and a customized flat seat.
To make the motorcycle exhaust note sound more menacing Rajputana Customs has fitted it with 2 into 1 exhaust setup. Lastly, the custom Continental GT 650 also features a custom gunmetal and Matte Black finish to the motorcycle. The attention to detail has also been given to the wheels as well, which too received the same kind of treatment.
Rajputana Customs hasn’t revealed anything about the power output of the motorcycle. The stock Continental GT 650 delivers around 47 Bhp and 52 Nm of torque from its 648 cc parallel twin motor. The RE Continental GT 650 is priced at Rs. 2.85 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
