Tata Motors has finally unveiled the much-awaited Dark Edition of the facelifted Nexon EV at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024

Tata Nexon EV, introduced in 2020, is one of the most popular electric passenger cars in the Indian market. Over the years, it has been updated with additional powertrain options and, of course, the special Dark Edition version. Following the facelift last year, when the SUV was rebranded Nexon.ev, the Dark Edition had been missing from the lineup till now.

Tata Motors has officially debuted the Nexon.ev Dark at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024. Similar to the tradition, it features an all-black paint scheme, with a few EV-specific highlights, including lightning-blue inserts on the fog lamp housings and the lower front grille. The alloy wheels have also been blacked out to go with the dark theme.

The interior has also been updated with an all-black theme, with blue highlights on the dashboard and the seat upholstery. The features and equipment list remains unchanged over the regular model; the Dark Edition is based on the top trims of both the Long and Mid Range models.

The Long Range version of Tata Nexon.ev comes equipped with a 40.5 kWh battery, while the Mid Range version gets a 30 kWh battery. While the former delivers an impressive claimed range of 425 km on a full charge, the latter is good for 325 km of driving range. The electric SUV gets four-level braking regeneration as standard, along with three driving modes – Eco, City, and Sport. It also supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging, further boosting practicality.

The highlight of the interior design is the lovely two-spoke steering wheel, with an illuminating logo in the centre. Other notable features on offer include an electric sunroof, a 10.25-inch infotainment system, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument console, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED headlamps, connected LED taillamps, rain-sensing wipers, etc.
