Bajaj started teasing the Pulsar NS400 a few days ago, however, the first glimpses of the motorcycle have appeared only in today’s teaser

Bajaj Auto has commenced the teaser campaign for the “biggest Pulsar ever” on its social media platform and today the first glimpses of the motorcycle have been released. The teaser video shows the brand new rear tyre hugger and the Y-shaped rear alloy wheel which looks to reminisce that of the recently updated Pulsar NS200 and N250.

The Bajaj Pulsar NS400 will be equipped with a dual channel ABS system as standard and the teaser indicates the existence of the front and rear disc brakes as well as a wide section rear tyre. The naked streetfighter will have several commonalities with the existing Pulsar range to carry an aggressive pricing strategy and expect the starting price to be just under Rs. 2 lakh (ex-showroom).

The overall styling will be inspired by the existing NS200 and perhaps the N250 as well. While no official details are out yet, the Bajaj Pulsar NS400 is expected to use a 373.2 cc liquid-cooled DOHC fuel-injected engine found in the Dominar 400, KTM 390 Adventure and RC 390. However, the performance numbers could be reduced in the upcoming NS400.

It must be noted that the latest KTM 390 Duke already uses a new 399 cc engine and it will be employed in the forthcoming iterations of the 390 Adv and RC. The powertrain will be mated to a six-speed transmission while a slipper and assist clutch will be standard. It will likely feature the same all-digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity found in the latest series of Pulsars.

Some of the design highlights will include a sleek LED headlamp with LED Daytime Running Lights, LED turn signals and butterfly-styled twin vertical LED tail lamps, split seats and grab rail, a wide handlebar setup, a muscular fuel tank, sharp body panels and sporty graphics and switchgear borrowed from the familiar parts bin of Bajaj.

It could also get ABS modes and traction control in a similar fashion to the Pulsar N250. The Bajaj Pulsar NS400 is undoubtedly one of the highly anticipated launches in recent times as a large capacity Pulsar has been touted for years.
