The accessorized Pulsar NS200 was showcased at the Istanbul Motor Show last year and it was equipped with essential touring accessories
The Pulsar NS200 that you are seeing in these images is not exactly custom made motorcycle fitted with aftermarket accessories. Bajaj officially unveiled this accessorized Pulsar NS200 at the Istanbul Motorbike show last year alongside other Bajaj motorcycles that included the RS200, NS160, Dominar 400, and the Bajaj V15.
The Pulsar NS200 Adventure Edition featured a rugged cover on the headlamp to protect it from getting damaged in case of an accident, an engine guard, luggage carrier towards the side with removable mounts for the convenience of the rider, knuckle guards to protect the brake and the clutch lever and a separate navigation mount positioned on the clip-on handlebar.
Although many of the Indian motorcycle enthusiasts will surely love the idea of a Pulsar NS200 equipped with all the necessary touring accessories, unfortunately, this motorcycle was launched for limited markets only. However, Bajaj did launch the AS200 in India that was actually a mild adventure variant, however, it failed to attract major attention and was discontinued later.
However, there were reports that Bajaj definitely has plans to relaunch the AS series in India that will be a more off-road biased motorcycle. Expect the off-road specific model from Bajaj to feature an adjustable windscreen, improved ground clearance, better suspension setup with more travel and dual-purpose tyres.
That said, the NS200 Adventure Edition that you see in these images is powered by a 199.5cc, fuel-injected single cylinder, liquid cooled unit producing 24.2 bhp of peak power and 18.6 Nm of torque. The India-specific NS200, on the other hand, is powered by a carburetted 199.5cc, single cylinder engine that produces about 23.17 bhp of peak power and 18.3 Nm of peak torque. Both the motorcycles are paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
Both the International and Indian spec NS200 also features ABS for the safety of the rider.
The India-spec Bajaj Pulsar NS200 ABS is priced at Rs. 112,557 (ex-showroom).
