Bajaj Pulsar is certainly the most popular bike range in Indian market. Launched in 2012, Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS was one of the first bikes from the automaker which came equipped with an all new 200 cc engine which was sourced from the Austrian famous automaker KTM. Later Bajaj even introduced two budget friendly sporty offerings in form of range topping AS 200 and RS 200 with the same engine, which become immensely popular. Seeing the potential in such bikes Bajaj decided to take one step further.

Until now, the Bajaj Pulsar ES 200 is the only offering which comes with an ABS version as option. But, now the two wheeler maker is all set to introduce a revised Pulsar 200 NS with ABS, which was recently spotted testing outside Pune. The 200 cc street fighter bike was spotted with an ABS tone ring fitted to the front disc. It is very likely to get a single channel unit, which is very similar with the one offered with the Pulsar RS 200.

In the meantime a non ABS Pulsar 200 NS was also spotted testing at the same location near Pune. It’s been one of the very popular models in Indian market from Bajaj. But in a steep competitive market, a major restyling was long due for the Pulsar 200 NS. Moreover, an ABS on offer will definitely increase the appeal of the bike. Expect the new updated Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS to hit the market sometime around late 2016. When launched, it will directly compete against the soon to be launched TVS Apache 200 ABS and the KTM Duke 200.

Presently the Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS gets power from a 200 cc liquid cooled engine which churns out 23.17 bhp of peak power and 18.3 Nm of peak torque. Expect the changes to come in the updated Pulsar 200 NS on the cosmetic front only, not mechanical; as the 2016 KTM Duke 200 also gets the same engine like its previous version. But the addition of ABS will surely enhance the appeal and edge to the popular mode.
