The upcoming Audi e-Tron Sportback comes with a 500 km range; capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.5 seconds

German premium luxury car manufacturer Audi has trolled the American EV manufacturer Tesla through their advertisement campaign for the upcoming all-electric e-Tron Sportback. The German brand teased the car as a ‘Musk-Have’, trolling Tesla boss Elon Musk. Interestingly, the ad campaign comes to life right ahead of Tesla Model 3’s production that is to commence from next month.

However, the Audi e-Tron Sportback is not meant to be rolled out before 2019, while the delivery of Tesla Model 3 will start from later this year only. But, the ad campaign certainly keeps the hope of the Audi e-tron Sportback coming out earlier alive. This car was previously touted to be the first real premium all-electric SUV by a real premium car manufacturer.

Also, this car is claimed to be capable of accelerating 0 – 100 kmph in 4.5 seconds making it one of the fastest all-electric vehicles in the world.

Currently, as it seems the Audi e-Tron Sportback could be the German carmaker’s shot at the Tesla Model X, until the American electric vehicle manufacturer brings the Model Y compact SUV that has been teased officially few days ago. The Model Y is claimed to be launched in 2019.
