Maruti Suzuki is reportedly gearing up to introduce the next generation of the Baleno in India by 2026. Following a substantial update in 2022, this iteration is expected to showcase significant overhauls in both exterior design and interior features. Codenamed YTA, it will be equipped with Maruti Suzuki’s in-house developed HEV system with a claimed fuel economy of over 35 kmpl.

2. Maruti Suzuki Compact MPV & Micro SUV:

Maruti Suzuki is also venturing into the compact MPV segment, positioning a model below the Ertiga to compete with the Renault Kiger. This MPV will draw inspiration from the Suzuki Spacia. Furthermore, Maruti Suzuki is working on a micro SUV internally dubbed the Y43, scheduled for release in late 2026 and both models will also feature the upcoming hybrid system.

3. New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Swift & Dzire:

Unveiled in Tokyo late last year, the new-generation Maruti Suzuki is set to hit the Indian market in the upcoming months. Expect evolutionary updates to the exterior and interior, along with a significant upgrade in the roster of features. Joining the lineup could be a new 1.2L Z series three-cylinder mild-hybrid petrol engine. Upon its arrival in the second half of this calendar year, the Dzire compact sedan, akin to its sibling the Swift, is expected to receive similar updates. Both models may also be offered with CNG variants right from the outset.

4. Maruti Suzuki Fronx Facelift:

The facelifted Maruti Suzuki Fronx, internally known as YTB, is reportedly slated to launch in India sometime next year. This mid-life refresh will mark the debut of the brand’s heavily localized hybrid electric powertrain. The standout feature of this update is expected to be the introduction of the 1.2L Z series petrol engine, which will serve as a range extender.

5. Maruti Suzuki Affordable EV:

In the future, Maruti Suzuki will introduce an affordable electric vehicle based on the eWX concept, which also debuted at the Japan Mobility Show 2023. It will be positioned below the eVX and the forthcoming electric MPV and expect the starting price to be under Rs. 10 lakh as it could carry high localisation of its EV components.
