Here we have listed the upcoming compact SUVs that are expected to launch before Diwali in India
In the coming months, as many as four all-new compact SUVs are expected to be launched in India and here we have covered all the key details:
1. Hyundai Exter:
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) will officially launch the Exter micro SUV in the domestic market early next month. The five-seater will be based on the same platform as the Grand i10 Nios and Aura and it will be powered by a 1.2L NA petrol engine, paired with a five-speed MT or an AMT. The Hyundai Exter will be packed with features on the inside.
2. Tata Nexon Facelift:
The facelifted version of the Tata Nexon will be launched around August 2023 and it will be heavily inspired by the Curvv concept showcased at the Auto Expo earlier this year. The compact SUV will also get a host of new features including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a new two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated logo. It will also come with a DCT and a new 1.2L DI petrol engine.
3. Tata Punch CNG:
The Tata Punch CNG made its debut at the 2023 Auto Expo in January alongside the Altroz CNG. Later this year, the CNG version of the micro SUV will be launched as the Altroz CNG was introduced only a few weeks ago. It will be powered by the familiar 1.2L petrol engine, paired only with a five-speed manual transmission. It will also feature a twin-cylinder arrangement.
4. Toyota Coupe SUV:
The badge-engineered version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx will more likely be called the Taisor. It could be launched in the coming months in India. Expect it to be equipped with a 1.2L NA petrol and a 1.0L three-cylinder BoosterJet turbo petrol engine. Both manual and automatic transmissions could be made available upon arrival.
Expect the compact SUV coupe to be influenced by the global Yaris Cross in terms of design. The interior will gain features such as a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, wireless smartphone charger, six airbags, automatic climate control, six airbags, adjustable headrests and much more.
