In the list of 3 upcoming all-new MPVs in India, we have explained about two Kia MPVs and as many Toyota MPVs

The MPV segment has certainly gained traction in recent times and over the next 12 months, we could witness the arrival of at least three models. Here we have explained about them:

1. New-Gen Kia Carnival:

The fourth-generation Kia Carnival is already on sale in the international markets. It will get a facelift in the near future and the same model could reach India as early as next year. The third-gen Carnival was recently discontinued in India and in comparison, the upcoming premium MPV will get an assortment of revisions inside and out.

The exterior will stick by the Opposites United design philosophy while the interior will be more upscale and modern with the presence of features such as ADAS, a large touchscreen infotainment system and a digital cluster. As for the performance, the 2.2L turbo diesel engine developing 200 PS maximum power and 440 Nm of peak torque could be retained for India.

2. Toyota MPV:

Toyota has long been reported to be working on the badge-engineered version of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. It will be different from the Toyota Rumion, which only endured badge swap. The upcoming seven-seater may come with notable cosmetic revisions while the interior could largely remain the same as its donor. The 1.5L mild-hybrid petrol engine will be used.

3. New-Gen Toyota Vellfire:

Only a few weeks ago, Toyota unveiled the new generation Vellfire for the global markets and its unofficial bookings are reportedly taken at select dealerships. The already booked customers have been asked to wait until the arrival of the all-new model as its market launch is highly likely around September or October 2023.

The new Vellfire luxury MPV will be brought into the country via CBU route and it gains a slew of cosmetic revisions and cabin updates. India could continue with the hybrid powertrain. It has grown in size and the interior has received a number of changes to further make the purchasing case a compelling one. Expect a notable price increase compared to the outgoing model.

4. Updated Kia Carens:

The mildly updated Kia Carens could hit the market later this year as it may gain new features such as ADAS-based driver-assistive and safety tech in the top-end variants.
