Tata Curvv midsize SUV coupe will be available in both ICE and EV guises upon launch likely in 2024

Tata Motors is expected to bring in a host of new electric SUVs over the next three years. Here we have listed the three possible zero-emission SUVs that could be introduced over the next 18 months.

1. Tata Punch EV:

The Tata Punch EV has been in the rumour mill for long and we do expect it to be the next big EV launch from the homegrown manufacturer. The electrified Punch could be positioned below the Nexon EV in the lineup and it could adopt the Ziptron technology. Thus, it could have a lot in common with its SUV sibling including the battery pack.

2. Tata Curvv EV:

Tata unveiled the near-production Curvv at the 2023 Auto Expo earlier this year and it will go on sale in 2024. The midsize coupe SUV will be offered in both ICE and EV guises. The latter could have a claimed driving range of close to 500 km on a single charge while the top-spec variants could be equipped with a twin electric motor configuration.

As for the features, the Tata Curvv EV will come with a dual-zone automatic climate control system with touch controls, a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, a 360-degree camera system, auto park assist function, ADAS-based assistive and safety technologies, etc. The cabin will be more modern than the existing crop of Tata SUVs. It will compete against the upcoming Mahindra BE.05, Maruti Suzuki eVX and eVX’s Toyota derivative.

3. Tata Harrier EV:

At the biennial Auto Expo, the Curvv was accompanied by the Harrier EV concept. It was displayed in its close-to-production form and its design will influence the Harrier and Safari ICE facelifts that are expected to launch later this year. The Harrier EV will be slotted above the Nexon EV Max and it will get a dual-motor setup – making it a 4×4 electric SUV.

The exterior will comprise an illuminated Tata logo mounted on the closed-off front grille, sleek LED DRLs, a wide air inlet on the bumper, metallic bumper garnish, two-tone alloy wheels, LED light strip at the rear, .EV badge on the front doors, etc.
