Explore the electrifying trio of midsize SUVs – Tata Curvv, Hyundai Creta EV, and Maruti eVX – that are set to launch in a year or two

It’s an exciting time for EV enthusiasts because the Indian mid-sized SUV space is about to get a serious jolt of electric adrenaline! Three major players – Maruti Suzuki, Tata, and Hyundai – are revving up to launch their electric SUVs this year, promising thrilling performance, spacious comfort, and eco-friendly goodness.

With these three power-packed contenders entering the ring, the fight for dominance is going to be electrifying (pun intended!). Let’s take a sneak peek at these upcoming game-changers:

1. Tata Curvv.ev

Tata Curvv.ev is more than just a pretty face, although judging by those sleek lines and connected taillights, it’s that too! This EV is built on Tata’s Gen 2 platform, promising multiple powertrain and drivetrain options, including a potential dual-motor setup with up to 500 km of driving range!

The Curvv.ev is expected to rival the likes of the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV and Honda Elevate EV, and with its futuristic design and impressive range, it might just steal the show. We expect this coupe-style electric SUV to debut in February and go on sale during the first half of 2024.

2. Hyundai Creta EV

The Creta, a household name in the Indian SUV scene, is getting an electric makeover! The Creta EV borrows the familiar silhouette and facelifted front of its ICE sibling but with a crucial twist – a closed-off “grille” with a hidden charging port. Expect a similar interior to the Creta facelift, with some futuristic touches borrowed from the Ioniq 5.

As per reports, the electric version of Creta will be powered by a 45 kWh battery pack, good for around 400 km of range. Its competitive price tag and the trusted Creta badge could make it a game-changer.

3. Maruti Suzuki eVX

Maruti Suzuki is entering the EV arena with a bang, and the eVX will be its crown jewel. This e-SUV, built on Toyota’s 27PL platform, promises a whopping 550 km range thanks to its 60 kWh battery. It is also expected to get a dual-motor AWD setup, which will make it offroad-friendly as well. Imagine an eco-friendly weekend excursion in nature without range anxiety!
