New Toyota Fortuner Rendering
After launching the Urban Cruiser Ebella, ninth-generation Hilux, and the facelifted Glanza this year, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is working on three more new models with plans to bring them to showrooms in 2027. The upcoming three Toyota models are likely to have a much greater volume potential and be far more significant launches.
In early 2027, TKM is likely to introduce the facelifted version of the Innova Hycross, which is essentially the third-generation model in the Innova series. The pre-facelift model currently on sale could be revised to serve as a fleet model, replacing the Innova Crysta. Spy shots have shown the new Innova Hycross featuring a sleeker front-end inspired by the ninth-generation Hilux, with reshaped headlamps, a newly designed radiator grille, new front fog lamps, revised bumpers, fresh alloy wheel designs, and tweaked tail lamps.
The interior changes may also be significant, but not visually. TKM could introduce new trim and upholstery, as well as a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and higher-capacity USB Type-C ports. No mechanical changes are expected to be introduced with the facelift. TKM should offer the new Innova Hycross in the same petrol and petrol-electric hybrid variants as the current model.

Later in the first half of 2027, TKM should launch the third-gen Fortuner, which is scheduled to make its global debut on 1 December this year. The next-gen Fortuner would have an all-new front fascia very similar to the ninth-gen Hilux, and the similarity between them is likely to extend to the interior as well.
The all-new Fortuner should come with upgrades such as a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, electric power steering, a host of new advanced driver assistance systems, and a panoramic sunroof. The engines, transmissions, and 4WD system are all expected to be largely similar to the current model.

In the second half of 2027, TKM will likely launch an all-electric MPV that competes with the Kia Carens Clavis EV. This would be a corporate cousin of Maruti Suzuki’s pure electric MPV codenamed ‘YMC’, expected to be launched in the first half of 2027. The three-row EV will likely be offered in two single-motor FWD variants, one packing 142 hp and 193 Nm of torque and one packing 172 hp and 193 Nm of torque. The former should have a 48.8 kWh LFP battery pack, and the latter will likely use a 61.1 kWh LFP battery pack. The top variant will likely be able to travel around 525 kilometres on a single charge.
