Triumph has previewed 2027 Tiger 1200, Tiger 900 and Street Triple 798 ahead of full reveals as engines, chassis and electronics receive major updates

The 2027 Triumph Tiger 1200 will make its full debut on October 27 followed by the Street Triple 798 on November 17 and Tiger 900 on December 15. Triumph has released the first images of all three motorcycles and confirmed substantial mechanical and electronic revisions ahead of their individual premieres. The Street Triple receives the biggest confirmed engine change as displacement rises from 765cc to 798cc.

The Street Triple 798 gains a new 798cc three-cylinder engine developed for Triumph’s 2027 Moto2 programme. The related race motor uses a redesigned cylinder head, low-inertia valvetrain, revised combustion chamber, increased port flow and new internal components. The Moto2 version is about 2 kg lighter and makes around six per cent more peak power than its predecessor.

But Triumph has not stated which of those specifications transfer unchanged to the road motorcycle. The Street Triple also shows extensive chassis and styling revisions as the motorcycle carries a redesigned frame, larger double-sided swingarm and underbelly exhaust alongside a new headlamp arrangement built around perimeter LED lighting and a central lamp.

The 2027 Tiger 1200 retains a 1200cc three-cylinder mill that is updated engine calibrated for greater output and improved refinement. Triumph has also confirmed advanced rider technology and a suspension package described as its most sophisticated yet. The images reveal substantial bodywork changes and a front mounted radar sensor is visible on the motorcycle.

The Tiger 900 receives changes across its engine, chassis and electronic bits. Triumph says the engine will deliver more power and improved refinement, and the chassis also comes with changes for the 2027 model year. The motorcycle will utilise new-gen connectivity as standard equipment alongside upgraded rider tech.

The three motorcycles make up the remaining launches in Triumph’s four model programme for the closing months of 2026. The Bonneville T40 and T40 Black were launched yesterday and they are said to use a new version of Triumph’s 400cc TR Series engine. The two Bonneville models are scheduled for global availability in late spring 2027.
